Ken`s Steaks & Ribs in Amber

I heard good things about this place and was in the area the other day and stopped in. It’s great food. I will definitely come back

I had the sirloin, it was fantastic! My waitress was awesome! I had no idea what I was heading into, a friend invited me, said they had heard good things, and they were right. They brought a basket to the table, I was expecting bread, but it was ribs as an appetizer!! They don't have menus. And just a few options for main dishes. Sirloin, chicken, sausage, ribs, or rib eye. Sides are baked potatoes, curly fries or regular fries, and a small salad bar. Very casual atmosphere, homey even. Will definitely go back!!

Steak was cooked great, season very well also! Ribs were awesome as well! We loved it!

Great old steak house...food just off a little.. Examples...fries cold and too salty...set were I could see them..fries set in basket for 47 mins and salted 3 times while there. The steak was cooked to proper but way too much salt..some places salty enough to burn my tongue..

One of my favorite places to eat in Oklahoma. About an hour to an hour and a half drive from home, bit it is so worth it on occasion!

I'm going to sum it all up in one word, Murica! Great cuts of steak cooked to perfection every time. Set menu without too many distractions. Great home town atmosphere and hospitality.

The steak we had was excellent. They bring a basket of ribs to the table as an appetizer, however, because of religious practices, we do not do pork. After telling this to our waitress, I expected her to remove them to another table. She did not, so our dog is loving every morsel. The salad bar was good and also included fried okra. There is a draft each time the door opens, so you may need to keep your jacket on. The wait staff were quick and friendly. Virginia made our first visit here quite enjoyable. This was Valentine's day and I saw several people bring in dessert for their party.

Ribs for an appetizer, succulent steaks, very fresh salad offerings, and friendly service made for a great evening meal! Just wish there were dessert options too - if there were any, they weren't offered. (There is no printed menu - your friendly server is very capable of explaining the meat offerings and sides.) A small town, out-of-the-way, great find for restaurant connoisseurs...

Salad bar was basic but very fresh! Ribs are tough that you get free but great flavor. Steak was cooked a bit over and extremely salty!! Again a good flavor tho. Amazing service and welcoming place!

16 oz prime rib probably more like 20 oz, very cool place I make a point of visiting every Oklahoma trip

Prime rib is juicy and cooked to order. The red beans are extremely flavorful. Wait staff is exceptional, friendly, and go out of their way to make your dining experience stress free and cozy.

there are no menus here but don't let that keep you from ordering from the well-rehearsed menu that your server will give to you. The appetizer is a beefy rib for each person at the table. The salad bar was way above and included pinto beans and fried okra. It could have been a meal by itself. It is a small town so if you are from out of town you will stick out. Servers are extremely friendly. If it is warm asked to sit in the rear dining area. If it is cold asked to sit in the front area.I had brisket which was over-the-top tender and good. Highly recommend.

This place has the best everything! Even the salad plates are chilled. All the food is the best on the planet!

I think that they can have good days or really good days. I need to know how to only go on the really good days.

THE BEST RIBS I'VE EVER HAD! The food was amazing. The service was friendly. The salad bar was ok. The noise was deafening. It's all part of the experience! Definitely worth the drive.

It was do darn good. I've been esiting years to go and finally did on my 47th birthday! Smoked prime rib was to die for. But you will need to take half of it home. I can throw down on food and I still took half of it home. Get there at 415 if you don't want a long wait. The service is amazing as the food. It's a small place so dont get overwhelmed at the yummy salad bar.

We tried Ken's out one evening. If been told it is good. It did not disappoint. Such good food and the service was excellent.

My family and I went to this place back in 2006, it’s taken me a while to get around to writing this review. It came highly recommended by the Chamber of Commerce in Oklahoma City so we took the trek to the country out into the middle of nowhere. And found this little place which was like an old gas station. Like they say looks can be deceiving. was absolutely the best steak I have ever had. The locals were very friendly as well as the staff. The prices were very reasonable the menu was simple but the food was outstanding. If you ever find yourself in Amber Oklahoma or nearby in Oklahoma City it’s worth the trip. This place always has great meals. Although it does get crowded, it is worth the wait. Remember that they won't seat you till everyone in your party is there.

Atmosphere is great and food is even better. Just some down home country cookin.

Really good food. No menu so it's going to be steak, ribs, brisket or chicken. Worth going. Get there early or you will be standing in a long line.

Awesome food the prime rib is the best..if you don't want to stand in line you have to be there by ,4 in line when they open at 4:30 . And it is a cash only place.. no cards.

The prime rib was spot on! I loved the fried okra too, nice and crispy. The portions are huge, bring your appetite or ask for a to go box.

Went on my birthday and I was super glad I chose to finally go there. Food was amazing! Staff was friendly and attentive. Lots of food. Only problems are limited open times and it's a drive for some of us. Some places give bread while waiting for order to be made but they give a rib each. Scrumptious! Ribs and chicken smoked to perfection. A must go!

Hands down the best smoked pork ribs that l have ever tasted. Dry rub, no sauce needed but they will gladly bring barbeque sauce on request.These are huge generous ribs. There aren't any printed menus, your waitress will make feel welcome and will recite the menu. Ken's offers a variety of pork, beef, and chicken along with simple side dishes and a small but distinctive salad buffet.Your server will bring a complimentary rib for each person at your table. It can be pretty busy, I suggest coming early. If you come to Kens come to eat generous portions of well seasoned perfectly cooked meat. As a bonus, the restaurant is in a pretty cool old building and the drive to Amber is scenic with little traffic.

Great salad bar with pinto beans and fried okra. Sirloin steaks are cooked to perfection and include a potato and texas toast. As soon as you are seated you are given a rib a piece, so tender!

This place was great. Great food, friendly atmosphere. We where one of the first to get there this evening and after we sat down it was 30minute to hour wait. Worth the wait.

Service was fast & the waitress (Amie) was very, fast, efficient and friendly. The food was cooked exactly to order, delicious, and looked appetizing, too. Portion was plentiful and the price was very reasonable, for everything that comes with the meal!!! I'll be back... 😍😁😁

I've often heard of Ken's. Tonight several friends and I ate there. I sampled the Prime Rib, Sirloin Steak and ordered Ribs. Here is my personal conclusion.Ken's is a great place to eat. Steak and prime rib were spot on. The ribs had a great flavor but were not, repeat not tender at all. But they tasted good. Sides were standard fair for about any restaurant and the salad bar actually fit what was being served for dinner. Great salad bar selection for steak and ribs. Price, i think it is just a tad over priced but it isnt bad. Enjoyed my meal and service was great.I will go back. Oh and the complimentary rib they bring you is a very nice touch. I believe you will like this place but here is something to remember. Go and be there at 4:30 when they open. Any later and it will be a fairly long wait. We went at 4:30 and the dinning room was completely full but we were seated.

The food and service was worth the hour drive. We will go back.

Great steak dinner for the money. 12 oz steak with baked potato and sweet tea came to 25 bucks. Place fills up quick, come early or be prepared to wait in line. My cut of meat seemed a little heavy and was cooked perfectly. Service was great. Dinner comes with access to all-you-can-eat salad bar with baked beans and fried okra. Only open Thursday Friday Saturday.

Well don't know where to start on this one, since this place is not like anything you used to know of typical Steak Houses in your town and or cities. No Sir eeee. If you guys are the type like to have all the Horas and Hooplas around your table since paying high dollar, this ain't your place to go to ( no pun intended ). This place opens up only three days a week and those are Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. No reservations allowed and if you don't get there soon enough you be standing in line inside the joint almost right next to people eating their food. Is this worthy of your time to go through a set ordeal to get Steak? I let you decide that for yourselves. 🍻
